Things on My Mind

Ok, here is a quick update I wanted to share with everyone. Lately I've been trying to get some time to myself to keep myself from jumping of a cliff because of school work. I've been trying to play around with my dolls backstories as much as I possibly can as well as just shopping around for things to save for. So to begin with, I am currently on a Silent Hill kick that will probably be the theme for the next story my dolls will be staring in as a sort of story away from their true story (or maybe have it tie into their story in a small way or something). I am hoping to keep true to the world of Silent Hill but have my own twist to it.

In other news, I'm hoping to get Ada's head back from a face-up job, but it might be a while since I got the cheapest shipping back from Indonesia ><. Anyway, I'm very excited about her because it fits her style so well. I'm also experimenting with Skye, too. I'm thinking about renaming her Bài Fēiyún, or just Fēiyún for short. :D So, because of that I'm thinking of making her more Chinese in origin even though she is an elf. She has also made a subtle change in appearance as her hair and clothes have changed. I'm hoping to post a unique photo for here on my blogger so everyone can see her.

All in all, that is all the really interesting, or semi-interesting news that I have to share for now. I'll probably try to post anything I write here or on my deviant art (posted in the side bar). Be looking for that, too. Thanks for dropping by.

Back from the Dead

Hey everyone, I'm sorry I haven't been around for those who've been lurking around my blog. There have been many things going on in my BJD world. I have a new, developed character (profile found in the 'Residential Status' section) named Lysa and another developing character named Washu. I also have new outfits for a few of my dolls, which is amazing for Skye because I've been having a hard time find fitting clothes. In other news, I'm also planning on going to a doll meet in Memphis that will be greatly amazing. It'll be a great relief for the stressful few weeks at school. For now, this must be all in the way of updates as I am getting very tired. I will update later on when there is time. :)

Wow, long time since my last blog. K, there are a few updates for now. In my last blog I mentioned I was bidding on a Resinsoul Dai ob eBay. Turns out during the last half of the week people really started picking up the bidding so I figured I'd wade it out until it cam close to ending to see if I really wanted to follow through with more bids myself. Well the bids did end up going up too high for my taste so I let it go. I figured it'd best to wait a month to see if I'd be able to find one I found more suitable at the anime con I'm attending this June. The last time I went about two years ago there was a Resinsoul dealer in the dealer room. Hopefully she will be attending again this year as I wish to find a Resinsoul Ai or a tiny to my collection. :) In other news, I am out for summer as of today so I'll be trying my hardest to pick up writing, drawing and reading. More anyway, so I hope to be able to share some of that here or on my deviantart page. So be looking forward to that. :)

Possible Incoming

I cannot believe this! When I thought I was done buying dolls somehow I've come to convince myself to bid on a doll earlier today. The doll I found on eBay is a Resinsoul Dai, and comes with everything! All for the price the doll would originally cost alone from the company itself. I still have a week to go before I actually know if I actually 'own' her. Either way, I am still very excited. I'm hoping to have her be the frilly girly girl of my group, like Ada. :D I'll be sure to post pictures if I do end up getting her. I will continue to update on anything that happens on the bidding. Hopefully, next Thursday I'll hear on whether or not I got her. :D

The War and it's Warcraft, Among Other Things.

So I've decided that it'd be interesting to try World of Warcraft again and it'll be interesting. I got a friend of mine to give me the new scroll of resurrection that gives both players something to look forward to. I was actually able to get a character to level 80 though it, the only downside is that I have to learn how to play that class at that level quickly since I've never been at that level before. We'll just have to see how well I do -- or how miserably I fail -- after a few weeks of playing. Thankfully, I jumped aboard my friends guild, so I know they'll get me somewhere. Lets see if it'll stick.

In other gaming news. I'm in a bit of a tug of war right now between to games from the Apple app store. I have a gift card that will only allow me to get one but I cannot decide. It's either Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2 or Amnesia: The Dark Decent. Oh, the decisions. XD

Doll related, I'm almost done with school so I'm hoping to get more time this summer to write my doll's story. I'm hoping to get some of their original universe written as well as some possible fan fiction. I'll be posting links to where you can read it when they are actually complete.

Ink

Well, I have to say, for the first time in ages, my brother has actually suggested an interesting movie for family movie night! He suggested the movie, I believe it to be an independent film, called Ink. Brilliantly done. I absolutely loved the character design, setting and plot. I have actually thought about basing one of my BJD's personality after one of the characters named Jacob. Not too much to the point where I even got the same storyline, just his quirky, spontaniousness. If you haven't yet seen the movie I'd highly suggest it. Very original. That is all I have for now. It is getting kinda late here (nearly 1 am) so I'll post more of my thoughts when I am not drooling all over everything in sleepiness. Farewell.

Getting This Started

Greetings everyone, Idelle here. This is my first blog post here so I thought I'd just give introduction before getting the ball really rolling. :D I am just your average nerd. I enjoy anything from video games, reading, writing, and of course Ball-jointed dolls. I'll be posting mainly about BJD's but I'll be randomly posting about the others as well. :) You can find the bio's for my dolls in the "Residential Status" section of my blog. I have a floating heads and an incomplete doll that are yet to be posted in that section but I'll show them off in later posts. In the way of games I usually play things from Bioware, Bethesda, and Square Enix. My favorites are the Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Fallout, Elder Scrolls, and Lost Odyssey/Final Fantasy games. So mainly Sci-fi and Fantasy genre's. The same thing runs with my books. I don't read as often as I like, but I do enjoy books by Asimov and Robert Jordan, among others.
